Tour Details

The Manu is one of the thirteen national parks that exist in Peru. It is situated between the Puna ecosystem and the low Amazon plains of the Manu River. Its unique location comprises different biospheres, which ranges from cold highlands to lush rainforests. The Manu is one of the world’s richest protected areas in terms of species, with a size comparable to half of Switzerland. The park covers an area of around 1 million hectares.

Due to its relatively distant location, the Manu National Park has stayed protected from human intervention. The park is currently home to just a few human native populations, some of which live completely isolated from the outside world. However, some Pre-Columbian ruins have been found in the park, such as the mysterious Petroglyphs of Pusharo.

This tour to Manu National Park is one of the most complete jungle trips in Peru. During this 8 days trip, you will explore the most pristine landscapes of southeastern Peru. You will hike through beautiful rainforests and navigate on the astonishing rivers of the park.
